Taco Bake
Taco Bake
Servings: 4 Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 40 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp @Daksspices Taco Knight
- 10 oz can Ro-Tel salsa, drained
- 3 CutDaCarb flatbread
- 2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
- Nacho Cheese (Recipe from @foodbellymomma ):
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup Lonolife Chicken Broth
- 1/4 tsp cayenne
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp Taco Bell hot sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar
Melt butter and cream cheese in a saucepan on low. Whisk in heavy cream, chicken broth, seasonings, and hot sauce. Bring to a soft boil then slowly sprinkle in shredded cheese while whisking. Let simmer 5 minutes then remove from heat
DIRECTIONS:
Cook onion, pepper, and beef in skillet until no longer pink.
Add garlic. Stir in spice and salsa.
Add 1/3 of the meat mixture to bottom of a greased 9x13 dish.
Top with 2/3 cup shredded cheese. Layer flatbread on top and spread with 1/3 of the nacho cheese sauce.
Continue layers with meat, shredded cheese, flatbread, nacho cheese.
Serve Taco Bake with guacamole, sour cream, and lettuce .
Finish with nacho cheese and extra shredded cheese. Cover with foil and cook at 350° for 30 minutes. Remove foil and increase heat to 425°. Cook an additional 10 minutes
